Having a Mountainaire Peak Pack insures that you will always have your Mountainaire running in it's 'PEAK' condition! Includes: Hepa Filter, Carbon Filter, Ti02 Filter, Ozone Plate, UV-C Bulb This first filter catches dust, dirt and pet hair preventing these larger particles from reaching the inner filters, helping to extend the life of all components. Clean regularly by removing the filter from the unit and vacuuming the filter with the hand held attachment to remove pet dander, dust, lint and other large particles. The Pre-Filter can be cleaned by running it under cool water and then scrubbed using a toothbrush to gently remove particles. HEPA Filter: HEPA Filters are used in many air filtration systems because they collect 99.97% of airborne microbes, as small as 0.01 to 0.3. Examples are mold spores, pollen, pet dander, dust mites and other particles that can aggravate allergies and respiratory conditions. Clean regularly, once per month is recommended, but it may need to be cleaned more often in environments with pets or in a rural setting. To clean, vacuum the filter with the hand held attachment to remove dust and other large particles. The HEPA Filter can be washed by running it under cool water and scrubbed using a toothbrush to gently remove particles. HEPA Filter should be replaced each year. Carbon Filter: Carbon Filters are used in military gas masks. This advanced carbon deodorizer is designed to absorb gasses, pollutants and airborne chemicals from household cleaning products, paints, tobacco smoke and other impurities that may irritate the eyes, nose and throat. Cannot be cleaned, DO NOT WASH. Under normal conditions this filter should be replaced each year. If heavy chemicals or gases are in the environment the filter may need to be replaced more often. Titanium Oxide Coated Filter (TiO2): The TiO2 Filter works in cooperation with UV light rays to destroy VOCs; converting 95% of pollutants in the air to harmless water vapors, leaving your home smelling fresh and clean. DO NOT WASH: There's no need to clean the TiO2 Filter, because when the UV-C light hits the filter, it will release oxidizes into the air which will remove contaminates, odors, etc. Under normal conditions the TiO2 Filter should be replaced every 2 years. Ozone Generator: Ozone Generator (6) - The MA-4000 contains a twin plate ozone generator with five output settings. Ozone will destroy odors from pets, cooking and tobacco smoke while eliminating harmful bacteria, e-coli, viruses, mold, mildew and germs on surfaces, in carpet, on furniture and in fabrics. Ozone doesn't just cleaning the air but sanitizes your whole home environment. Ultraviolet C Spectrum (UV-C) Bulb: UV-C bulbs, with their germ destroying properties, have been used in hospitals and clinics for decades to sterilize surgical and dental equipment. The UV-C light waves, combined with the TiO2 Filter, produce super-charged ions that clean and sanitize the air of mold, mildew, viruses, pollen, germs and bacteria. This germicidal bulb does produce small amounts of ozone that will destroy carbon based organisms.
